Lanning's Restaurant

Great place! Great service and food! Jeff and company are great. Awesome steak. Highly recommend this place we were visiting from Palm Beach and we came to the restaurant which was recommended by a friend of ours. We had a good selection of their food, 2 of us had steaks, one fish and one rack of lamb. All excellent! Great martini as well... If you are in the Cleveland area you must check it out

Start with the good: very good service. The salads we're good and the house croutons we're good and unique. French onion soup was great. Unfortunately, this is a steakhouse. We had a filet and a porterhouse. Both were cooked fine, to roughly medium rare as requested. However, the steak was dry and not of very good quality. A better quality meat is expected at these prices. Additionally, we sat next to the grill and observed some questionable practices from the chef. He handled raw steaks with his hands, and immediately after used his hands to break up lettuce. He also tasted the sauce by dipping his finger in the pot. In any case, this was our second time there, and we will not be coming back.

This place is amazing! The service was fabulous, great food! Everything from the appetizers, salads, to the beautiful filet, and the great desert. FANTASTIC! the drinks were very good too! Beautiful atmosphere, reminds me of the fantastic high end cruise ship restaurants with the amazing view. 100% will go back, probably next week! This is a MUST TRY!
